Pedestrian critically injured in Little Falls

His girlfriend allegedly saw the accident and is severely traumatised.

A pedestrian was found in critical condition on Friday night (21 June) after he was knocked down by a vehicle in Little Falls.

Paramedics from ER24 and QRS arrived on scene on Hendrik Potgieter Road near Nic Diederichs Road, where they found the pedestrian and worked tirelessly to stabilise him. He is believed to be in his early 30s. He later was taken to a nearby hospital for further medical treatment.

A woman, believed to be his girlfriend, appeared to have witnessed the collision that happened around 8.30pm and was severely traumatised, according to ER24 spokesperson Werner Vermaak.

“Two occupants from the vehicle that collided with the pedestrian were assessed by paramedics.

“Fortunately they did not sustain any injuries but also were in shock.”
