Matthew Buirksi and Cedric ‘The Dominator’ Doyle, two of the top bantamweights in the country, will face off in the EFC 31, July 3 main card as they look to progress to the top of their weight division.
Both fighters boast impressive statistics heading into the clash early next month. Doyle has claimed victory in his last three fights, all of which ended inside the first two rounds.
Buirski, meanwhile, has yet to taste defeat in the hexagon. His last bout was a main card showdown with Durban’s Abdul Hassan, which ended in a split draw decision.
Buirski and Doyle are powerful competitors both driving hard to stake a claim for a bantamweight title shot.
The winner of their clash will push through to the upper reaches of the division and a potential No 1 contender eliminator spot, while the loser will fall back down the ranks.
