Enjoy a night of laughter at Silverstar

ROODEPOORT - Comedian to take stand at Silverstar Casino.

South Africa’s leading Jewish Xhosa-speaking comedian, Nik Rabinowitz, will bring his hit one-man show Stand Up at Silverstar Casino on Friday, 30 May.

According to Communications Manager for the casino Nelda Steyn, Stand Up takes the Pistorius out of everything South African, while simultaneously giving the audience and the world a deep, full-cavity medical check-up.

“The show is about so many things,” Steyn said. In his own words, Rabinowitz said his latest offering is “Like the time I went to Canada and heard about a moose eating flowers in a Shoprite. And the time I went to Israel to play cricket to bring about world peace (#fail), and the other time I babysat our kids for three full hours. There’s a whole lot more, of course, with some of our favourite characters like Oscar [Pistorius] and Julius [Malema] and Jacob [Zuma] and Helen [Zille], all part of this poorly lit, insane reality TV series we call South Africa.”

Embark on a thrilling journey through the poorly lit, insane reality TV series we call South Africa, and emerge at the other end, sane and happy. It’s so funny, it’s almost criminal. The show carries an age restriction of Parental Guidance 16.

The show will start at 8pm and doors will open at 7pm.
