The rape case of kwaito star Sipho Brickz Ndlovu in the Roodepoort Magistrates’ Court has been postponed again until 26 June.
Ndlovu is accused of raping a 17-year-old girl last year in March and is currently out on R50 000 bail.
It was expected that the court would decide whether to continue with the case or throw it out due to lack of evidence, but after only one minute in the dock Magistrate Jon Baloyi announced that the case would be postponed.
The postponement will allow the court time to appoint an intermediary for the alleged victim.
Brickz to appear in court again today -26 May
Kwaito star Sipho Brickz Ndlovu will appear in the Roodepoort Magistrates’ Court again today (26 May).
Ndlovu was arrested in November 2013 for the alleged rape of a minor that took place March 2013.
After an unsuccessful attempt to get bail in the Magistrates’ Court his legal team secured R50 000 bail for him in the High Court.
The case has been postponed in order for his legal team to obtain reports from the Teddy Bear Clinic where the alleged victim went in January.
Ndlovu’s legal team has indicated that he will plead not guilty.
