Mrs SA finalist shows support for #Bringbackourgirls campaign
ROODEPOORT - MRS SA Finalist explained that the Bring Our Girls Back initiative is something that's close to her heart.
The Bring-back-our-girls initiative or better known as #BringBackOurGirls has caused a stir on Social Networks with celebrities showing their support by posing with name boards that expresses the important message.
Mrs South Africa finalist Talita Jansen van Vuuren also posed to show her support for the campaign.
When asked why she supported the initiative she said, “Being part of a very close knit family (one of four children) this traumatic event touched my heart on a new level. I can only imagine how such an event would strain my family.
”This saddens me, and at the same time angers me to realise what humanity has come to. These Nigerian girls showed so much courage by believing in their education even though the schools had been threatened by terrorists before.
”These deeds of commitment and determination in pursuit of a brighter tomorrow inspires me as a Mrs South Africa finalist, to voice their action in my community and to create awareness by being part of the #BringBackOurGirls initiative.
”We, as a global community, must stand together to address not only this event of tragedy, but to support their families in this time of hardships and loss. We must be their voice of courage and aspirations for a better tomorrow through education.”
