Man critical after being flung from truck

A man sustained critical injuries after he was flung out of his mini truck on the N1 Highway just before 14th Avenue near Bergbron in Roodepoort yesterday afternoon.

ER24 reports that, “The man was found flung out of his mini truck, which was carrying several gas cylinders. The collision apparently occurred when a wheel came off the truck causing it to overturn.

“Paramedics treated the man for the severe head injuries he sustained and transported him to Flora Clinic for urgent medical care.

“While officials were working in this scene, a secondary collision occurred and injured several people from various vehicles.”
