Dowry to the rescue again

Suspect arrested after attempted burglary.

Dowry security again came to the rescue after two burglars attempted to break into a home in Bind Street, Constantia Kloof on Monday night.

According to Dowry Reaction Manager Bruce Webster, “At 9.30pm an alarm at a home was triggered after the suspects had cut the electric fencing.

“While a unit was on its way, the suspects entered the property. The owner – who was in the lounge at the time – was alerted simultaneously when they cut the fencing.

“He then discovered the suspects inside his garage where an altercation followed. Upon our arrival, the suspects decided to flee and the reaction officer gave chase, eventually catching one of the men.

“He is believed to be in his late 30s and was apprehended until members of the Honeydew SAPS arrived and arrested him.

“The other suspect escaped.”
