Shocking revelations from ANC insider

ANC refuses to comment on rumours.

A high-ranking ANC official has made some startling revelations to the record.

The ANC member spoke to the Record on condition of anonymity, citing fear of expulsion should his/her identity be revealed.

The source revealed the following information:

• President Jacob Zuma will be recalled after the elections and he (Zuma) is aware of this and in agreement with it.

• The new president of the ANC, and therefor the country, will be Cyril Ramaphosa.

• The ANC and EFF is in secret negotiations with each other in order to ensure that the ANC stays the ruling party in Gauteng.

• Most shocking, and this information the source volunteered without prompting, was a question that he/she posed to the record and answered him/herself. The source said that, “The people should ask themselves the question of whether the ANC will relent power if they should lose the elections”. He/she answered the question by saying that the ANC will not hand over power should they loose the election, although it is unlikely that the party will loose on national level. The record asked him/her whether the instruction to take up arms to cling to power were coming from the top, which he/she confirmed.

The record then spoke to Branch 70 and Zone 6 spokesperson for the ANC, Rupert September.

September neither denied nor admitted to any of the information and declined to answer saying he is not at liberty to do so.

On the question of how healthy the ANC is, September had the following to say: “Everyone can see that there currently is a crisis in the ANC but we are dealing with it. Certain individuals in the party and its alliance partners have done the party harm, such as Ronnie Kasril’s call to not vote, but these are individuals and the party and its partners are bigger than individuals,” says September.

“It is disgusting to incite people not to perform their right to vote, which many people paid for with their lives. Rather vote for another party then, but do not spoil your vote.”

The record also wanted to know how the party can repair its damaged image convincingly.

“There is a big drive at the moment within the organisation to repair our integrity and to make sure that the people realise that the original core values of the ANC of Mandela is still in tact and that we are the only party that can rule the country. A lot of changes will take place after the election to bring this about.

“The ANC is the only transparent party in the country. The DA is politically bankrupt and their manifesto is a carbon copy of ours. It’s laughable that they want to implement programmes and policies that we already have in place,” says September.

September is also 100 per cent convinced that the ANC will retain Gauteng, estimating that the ANC will get 65 per cent of the votes.

“The DA is also going to be caught asleep because they are ignorant of just how many votes the EFF will be taking from them.”

On the issue of why voters should vote for the ANC, Rupert said that the ANC is the only party with a real plan, who has its structures in place but he reminded people that it takes time to reap the benefits of these programmes.

September also assured voters who are scared of land reforms, that the ANC will not take land that is already being farmed since it realises the high importance of food security.

“We will use land that is not being farmed to build houses on and start new farming projects. The ANC is just too aware of how certain issues can lead to the typical African 20 year revolution syndrome. We love this country and want to avoid at all costs what happened in places like Zimbabwe and other African countries when their 20 year honeymoon period after independence was over,” concluded September.
