Puzzles aplenty at Weltevreden Park Library
WELTEVREDEN PARK - Pick up a book and help build a puzzle
Weltevreden Park library in Fern Road, Weltevreden Park, is celebrating National Library week with a fun new project.
The project involves inviting members of the community help build jigsaw puzzles together when they come to take out books from the library.
Northsider staff decided to assist and donated more the 40 puzzles to add to the collection.
Both the library and Northsider hope that lovers of jigsaw puzzles will come and add a few pieces to a puzzle, before or after selecting their books.
People do not need to be members in order to join in the fun and anyone of any age is welcome to pop in and spend time working on the puzzle.
This will be an ongoing project at the library, where a puzzle will be in progress year round. The library also loans out jigsaw puzzles, allowing members to enjoy them at home.
Becoming a member at the library is as easy as 1-2-3, and a yearlong subscription to take four books out every time you visit the library, is free. You are allowed to keep any books you borrow from the library for a total of three weeks. And anyone who has outstanding books need not worry – amnesty is granted during Library Week.
