Fury friends at the SPCA

ROODEPOORT - Pop over to the SPCA and take home an animal that's ready to love you.

Before an animal is adopted from the SPCA, a pre-home inspection is conducted, and vaccinations, de-worming and sterilisations are compulsory and included in the fee.

“Should you no longer be able to keep your pet, please do not just dump it and hope someone will find it and give it a home. This seldom happens,” said SPCA Roodepoort manager Mandy Cattanach. “The SPCA Roodepoort prefers that should you no longer want your pet, that you bring it in to the SPCA and donate it to us as it will then at least be given a chance to be adopted by suitable owners.”

Adoption is an easy process as you merely need to sign over the animal to the organisation by completing a form and it will immediately be available for adoption.

“People can feel free to pop into the SPCA and come and take a look at the large collection of animals we have available for adoption,” Cattanach said
