After winning the league cup for the first time last September, Panorama Football Club, coached by Mike Kelly, completed a great season by winning the Division 2 of the Rand Central Vets Summer League.
In their final game they beat arch-rivals Randburg 4-2 away and finished the season undefeated, well ahead of second placed Marks Park.
The game was played on 26 March at Randburg Football Club.
The last game was the usual affair with Panorama pushing on the wings and attacking Randburg with quick counter counter attacks that have become their preferred style of play. Olaf Olgiati scored the first goal with a header, from a cross by Stoyan Stoychev, followed goals by Roger Livesey and an own goal from their opponents.
Randburg managed to pull from the back with two goals but it was too late and the solid back four contained Randburg’s attack without any issues.
For Kelly, this was another success as a coach in an astonishing season that saw Panorama go unbeaten for 25 consecutive games. With the Winter League only a month away, there is chance for more glory this year.
