Nick Andrew travels on Kingfisher Road daily to pick up and drop off his granddaughter at school.
On the morning of 11 February he was returning from her school when he approached the two infamous potholes on Kingfisher Road just past Albatross Street. (The Record has reported on these two potholes before because they are situated in opposite lanes right opposite each other.)
As he is familiar with these two nasty potholes he started swerving but an oncoming taxi travelling at a high speed did the same at the other pothole. Andrew had no choice but to swerve back sharply onto the pavement to prevent what would have been more than likely a fatal collision.
Andrew also told the Record that he has been witness to an accident when a schoolboy on a motorcycle drove into one of the potholes.
“I only hope and pray that JRA urgently does something about these two potholes,” says Andrew.
