The noble steed has a bright future

The Record was invited by the Nan Hua Temple in Bronkhorstspruit to experience what is considered Gauteng’s largest Chinese New Year celebrations on Sunday 2 February.

New Year according to the Chinese calendar occurred on Friday 31 January.

Despite extremely hot weather, the hosts, guests and onlookers alike enjoyed various celebrations, fireworks, martial arts performances and dances.
