City Power wastes electricity

Street lights in Van Dalen Road in Ruimsig burn day and night. This has been the case for three weeks and residents are furious.

One resident, Magriet Staden, is fed up with Joburg Connect’s apparent apathy and incompetence.

“The phones ring forever and then when they eventually pick up they keep you on the line for hours before these operators even log your queries,” she said. Staden has called and emailed several times and her complaints have been logged. At the time of going to press, no reply had been received.

Ward 97 councillor Jaco Engelbrecht stated he will escalate the matter to City Power.
