Lack of police intervention in Princess saga

Deon (email)

Dear Mr Editor

It is a sad day in paradise if the SAPS cannot or will not consider the rights of the taxpayers. After all, we are the golden geese with the golden eggs who pay their salaries and bonuses . I hope that the ANC also reads this mail if it is published.

I believe that the station commander also must respond in light of the allegations. Perhaps ADT or another security company will offer their services to protect the state property whilst our men/women in blue perform their duties and earn their salaries inside the squatter camp.

The tavern is also a nest of other activities – drugs, rape, assault, murder and other – besides the loud music. Noise do travel a long way in the dead of night and I have the most sincere comprehension in this regard. The ANC is against smoking and drinking of alcohol and the SAPS must enforce this without fail, but in this instance the SAPS failed dismally and I believe strong action is required.

I suggest that if all else fails Clint (previous letter writer) should phone 10111 and not the station as indicated in this instance. Hopefully the call will be recorded and then they cannot dispute a claim of this nature. But perhaps they will know that the call is recorded and then they will not tell the truth.

Clint I know what you are going through and believe me, the sector numbers are also not up to scratch. On paper all seems well but put it to the test and all falls apart. I hope and pray for this beloved country where I was born and raised.
