The Princess protests turned violent and spilled over into the quiet neighbourhood of Reefhaven.
At approximately 6.50pm shots started going off, although it is uncertain who was shooting and at what.
The protesting mob then stopped a Metrobus going up South Road towards Corlett Avenue. The passengers fled and the bus was set alight.
When the Record arrived, astonished residents were standing in clusters, watching the chaos as the police tried to maintain order.
