A game where giving is a surprise and where the person who gives is dubbed your secret Santa. Secret Santa stems from a western Christmas tradition that includes a community or group.
A secret Santa gives a gift anonymously to someone without writing that person’s name. It’s also a great game to bring colleagues and staff member’s within a working environment together and helps break the ice for all those ‘newbies’ that have moved into unknown territory.
The tradition encourages an exchange of gifts between groups, friends and/or colleagues allowing members that participate to buy something special for a person they may not know all that well.
Instead of stretching your budget to breaking point by trying to buy a Christmas present for everyone put all your families names into a hat and each pull one name. It is then your responsibility to buy something nice for the person whose name you pull. This way everyone gets something really special for Christmas.
