Motorists are facing a bleak week with not only e-tolls kicking in today, 3 December, but at midnight another petrol increase will come into play.
As of midnight 4 December the petrol price will rise by 17c per litre and diesel by 10c per litre. This means that 93 octane will cost R12,97 per litre, 95 octane R13,19 per litre and diesel R13,38 per litre.
One petrol station owner showed us his records. This time back in 2006 (95 octane was not available yet) 93 octane cost motorists R6,00 per litre and for diesel they paid R5,94 per litre.
