Opera Diva soon to hit Roodepoort
Opera diva Sibongile Mngoma will be performing in Roodepoort soon.
Old-time opera singer and performer Sibongile Mngoma returns to the stage with a dynamic performance for the first time in almost a decade of not showcasing her proficiency.
Sibongile will be performing at the Roodepoort Theatre on Wednesday 13 November at 7pm. The opera diva has been performing on stages both locally and internationally and has a sterling artistic profile to show for it. To her credit she has 20 years’ experience in the industry to her name. With the completed recording of her new jazz album, the diva has become rather eager to start performing again.
She is also the producer of the 10 SA Sopranos concert that is to be presented soon as an annual execution of classical music in Johannesburg.
The concert will be launched together with the release of her new album. This could be deemed as the uprising of classical music on the West Rand.
For her upcoming concert at the Roodepoort Theatre, Sibongile will be accompanied by a string quintet and piano players as the musical sequence has been arranged by acclaimed Maestro Graham Scott. Tickets are available at between R100 and R150 and can be purchased from Computicket.
