Keg hosts country legends

One elderly resident enjoyed a belated birthday party with Lance James.

Residents were treated with a country music show to compliment their Sunday lunches at the Keg & Legend on Sunday 3 November.

From around 1pm, country lovers, cowboys and elderly residents met up at the Keg & Legend at the Village @ Horizon (previously Horizon View Shopping Centre) to listen to country legends and enjoy family time. Singing legends Lance James and Buddy and Maggie Vaughn enjoyed time with their fans as amateur singers took to the stage. Afterwards the legends gave the afternoon their unique musical tweaks.

Lorraine McNeal, in particular enjoyed the show as she was meant to attend a Lance concert for her birthday but arrangements didn’t work out. Her family brought this elderly resident and took photos of her with Lance specially.

“We’re looking forward to having many more such events here in Horison,” Keg & Legend co-owner Jaco Scheepers told the Record.

A spitbraai complimented a wonderful afternoon of golden oldies.
