Public invited to participate in Community Based Planning

Citizens of all wards in Region C invited to participate in planning sessions.

Residents of Region C once again will be afforded a platform to interact with local government.

The City of Johannesburg is embarking on a process to roll out the Community Based Planning (CBP) concept to all the wards in the City.

The aim of the CBP process is for the City and its communities to jointly analyse and formulate community needs and to feed this information into the Integrated Development Plan and budgeting process.

According to the City of Johannesburg the Community Based Planning is about ensuring social cohesion in communities and in adopting a joint, participative approach to development.

Citizens of all the wards in Region C are invited to participate in these planning sessions.
