The Save a Child Pageant will be taking place on 9 November at Misty Hills Hotel and Conference Centre in Muldersdrift. Registration will start at 2pm.
All humanitarians are invited to enter, regardless of gender, age or marital status, and entrants are judged on the amount of good will and faith they instill in their communities through charity and volunteer work, not solely on their looks. Category winners get to launch their own fundraising projects for their year-long reign. All proceeds from the pageant will go to Save a Child, a non-profit organisation that provides care for more than 80 disabled children, most of whom are cerebral palsied. Entrants and spectators are required to bring a can of food.
