Comedy in the Gardens cancelled
A comedy show in the Gardens is cancelled owing to contractual commitment issues.
The comedy show organised by the Walter Sisulu National Botanical Gardens and the Elevators Creative Concepts for Sunday 27 October is cancelled.
The show, which was to feature comedians such as Darren Maule, Mpho Popps, Martin Jonas, David Kibuuka and Tol A$$ Mo was cancelled on Wednesday 23 October according to a media statement. It also was to feature musicians Liquideep, Michael Lesar and Cyber Beatbox.
According to Ronny Tshabalala, the marketing and communications officer of the Gardens, “this event has been cancelled indefinitely”.
“We regret to inform residents that the show is cancelled until further notice.”
Tshabalala explained that the organisers were unable to commit to some of the contractual requirements.
He thanks residents for their understanding and the Record is pleased to announce that residents can look forward still to other Gardens events.
The next event to keep in mind is Christmas Carols with the Bala Brothers, which will be held on Saturday 30 November from 5pm to 8pm. Entrance costs R50 when bought online at www.plankton.mobi and R70 at the Gardens entrance. Children under 13 enter for free.
