Welcome to my dance floor, the title of the spectacular hip hop showcase held at the Promusica Theatre in Roodepoort, wowed audiences in two completely sold-out shows on 19 and 20 September.
A total of 286 dancers bomped, stomped and crunked to the rhythm of popular hip hop and R&B tracks.
Host Mario Gomez, owner of The Mario Gomez Dance Academy, is the brains behind the production. Earlier this year, Gomez decided to break away from the stereotypical dance studios and opened his own dance academy which focuses solely on hip hop – a movement that is quickly growing in popularity.
