Following a spate of crime on the overgrown greenbelt at the T-junction of Sovereign Road and Krugerrand Avenue in Strubens Valley, City Parks have given Freddy Adams of Ye-Sizwe Security Services the green light to clean the area.

“I am just waiting for the written approval,” said Adams, who is based in Strubens Valley.

“I am doing this in my professional capacity as well as in my personal capacity. We need to make this place safer. Many residents are donating money towards petrol for the chainsaws to clear the overgrown foliage. Many residents feel unsafe, so everyone is more than interested in making a contribution.”
