“Welcome to my dance floor”, the energetic dance production presented by the Mario Gomes Hip Hop Dance Academy, is showing at the Roodepoort Promusica Theatre on 19 and 20 September.
More than 280 dancers will be taking part in the production, with some dancers as young as four years-old.
The academy, which opened earlier this year, has had enormous success thus far. All-girl dance team “Meninas” recently made the finals of the Red Bull Beat Battle that featured on Channel O, and two young male dancers qualified to participate in the International Dance Organisation (IDO) Hip Hop Championships taking place in Denmark in October.
The Academy guarantees to “bring the beat back” to the streets of Roodepoort.
