Cable theft on Strubens Valley greenbelt

Another power cable on the greenbelt at the T-junction of Sovereign Road and Krugerrand Avenue has been stolen, and it still has not been replaced.

Freddy Adams of Ye-Sizwe Security Services said the cable was stolen on 31 August.

“Our guards were patrolling in the area the day before, and they saw people digging in the ground, and one of our staff phoned Eskom.”

The next day security guards saw the cable was removed.

“It still has not been fixed,” finished Adams.

Roodepoort Northsider has repeatedly reported about cable theft on this greenbelt.

City Power is yet to respond.
