Parkies U/15 cricket side thumps Die Adelaar
Parkies win first league game of season by 10 wickets.
For Florida Park High School it was a walk in the park, but Die Adelaar suffered total humiliation when the schools’ two U/15 cricket teams locked horns in the first league game of the season.
Die Adelaar team was first to bat and was bowled out for just 40 runs in 13 overs. Parkies, however, reached the target in just five overs without losing a wicket, claiming victory by 10 wickets.
Enjoying themselves with the bat for Parkies were Shagon Arends (17*) and Kieron Mcdonald (10*).
For Parkies the pick of the bowlers and responsible for a poor Die Adelaar innings were Taariq Davids (four overs/six wickets/six runs), Brandon Moodley (four overs/three wickets/nine runs) and Jordan Stringer (one over/ one wicket/ three runs).
Parkies’ next match is against Kings School on Monday 16 September.
