The recent Cross Border Operation: Duty Calls on 15 August in which the local clusters and their police stations participated delivered various results. The police contingent comprised 43 members and 14 vehicles from Orlando Cluster, 59 members and 25 vehicles from Honeydew Cluster (of which Roodepoort and Florida Police Stations are part), 74 members and 19 vehicles from Moroka Cluster, 20 members and four vehicles from Krugersdorp Cluster, 22 horses and 13 members from the Mounted Unit and four JMPD vehicles.
The Honeydew Cluster confiscated 23 knives, 100 dvds, searched 211 vehicles, searched 262 persons and tested three vehicles.
These operations will continue into the Festive Season.
