
In two separate incidents two men were arrested for possession of dagga, according to SAPS spokesperson Vincent Mashiteng.
The first arrest took place on 10 August when a man (29) was stopped and searched on the corner of Government and Kotze Streets. He was found in possession of 6,3g dagga. The suspect was arrested and charged with possession of dagga.
The second arrest was made on 11 August. The police received a tip-off after which they searched a house in Tshepisong Phase 6 from where it was believed a man (33) was selling dagga. The police found 141,5g dagga hidden in the house.
The man was arrested on a charge of possession of dagga.
Both suspects appeared in the Roodepoort Magistrates’ Court on 12 August.
