Residents to get reconnected after 3 months

The residents of the flats on 75 Main Reef Road (Now Albertina Sisulu Road) that has been without electricity for close to a 100 days, can look forward to finally being reconnected.

After an extracted battle between Councillor Gert Niemand and residents versus City Power, Niemand has been informed by City Power that the electricity will be back on, on 14 August. This is six days short of City Power’s Solomon Benghu’s commitment that the electricity will be back on no later that 20 August.

Over and above the substation being repaired and upgraded, new cables have also been laid.
