The Record recently received information that alleges that disciplinary action is being taken against the current Chairperson, Aubrey Adams, of the Fleurhof Ward 70 Branch of the ANC.
Adams who has been serving 13 years as Chairperson vehemently denied the allegations and threatened the Record with legal action.
The Record received an official response on an ANC letterhead. The letter reads as follows:
“This is a formal response regarding allegations of charges of corruption against Aubrey Adams. We formally acknowledge that the ANC Branch is in a process of disciplinary proceedings against the Chairman of the branch. We should allow this process to take its course as the ANC has its own constitution and process and the Chairman is presumed innocent until proven guilty”.
The letter is signed by Deputy Chairperson Rupert September and Secretary Vusi Thomas.
