Florida drug issue update: Special task team to be formed

"Eight people already on board."

It has been confirmed that a special task team will be put together to tackle the drug issue in Florida.

This can be considered step two of the new war that was declared on drugs at a special meeting attended by Florida SAPS, the Florida Blockwatch, concerned parents and other role-players in late June.

According to Caleb Finn of the Florida Blockwatch, “A task team is in the process of being established and will comprise community members, the Community Policing Forum (CPF), non-profit organisations (NGOs), religious organisations and the South African Police Service (SAPS).

“The coordinator of this team will be John Kirsten.”

Finn said further that, “About eight people have already joined the team and we are open to many more assisting in this cause”.
