The same Johannesburg Roads Agency team that fixed Dee Dee Brown Street at the end of June, currently is working on Corlett Avenue and Steinmann Road.
On Wednesday 3 July traffic cones and “no entry” signs were visible at the intersections of Ontdekkers Road and Corlett Avenue and CR Swart Avenue and Steinmann Road. Residents were wondering why these intersections were declared unavailable.
According to Gabriel Mothobeki, JRA project manager on site, the work on Corlett Avenue and Steinmann Road follows their work on Dee Dee Brown Street the previous week.
“My manager let me know that this will be the next project.
“We started early [Wednesday] morning and hope to finish by 12 noon tomorrow [Thursday] afternoon.”
Mothobeki could not say whether other roads will be tackled next, but could be seen directing JRA-workers. Residents moved some of the traffic cones, resulting in slight traffic on Steinmann Road on Wednesday afternoon.
